Coronavirus COVID-19 The steps we are taking at Tambla

TA-COVID

Tambla would like to highlight that there is no change to the sevices that we provide and that we are taking the steps necessary to ensure that we continue to conduct business as usual with no disruption.

In response to the ongoing spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the announcements and advice from the World Health Organisation, Department of Trade & IndustryNSW Health and the Australian Government, Tambla has implemented temporary policies and internal processes to help protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, their families and our those of our clients and partners.

Avoiding contact and exposure has been proven to reduce risk and assist with efforts to contain the spread of the virus and Tambla is taking the necessary steps to identify risks and mitigate them as early as possible.  Our considered approach is in-line with the guidelines issued and we believe this will ensure that we can continue to provide high levels of service for all of our clients with minimum disruption.

As a company, we already have the necessary systems and technology in place to allow our workforce to operate remotely as required and we have contingency planning prepared should closure of our offices occur.  Like many technology companies, we have already implemented measures to minimise exposure wherever possible.  All our staff have remote access to the systems necessary to operate in their respective roles and many of our staff have been working from home for the past week and will continue to do so until the situation improves.

The immediate changes are outlined below.

From 13 March 2020 all meetings either at Tambla Offices or those of our clients and partners will be suspended.  We have several options for digital (video or voice) conferencing available and the team at Tambla will work with you on the best option for hosting any planned or future meetings.

For our employees

  • All international business travel has been suspended.  Tambla Employees are advised against travelling internationally for personal reasons and must engage with our leadership team to help assess and manage risk.
  • Domestic air travel is restricted to critical business only and subject to approval from the CEO.
  • We have implemented additional strict policies around exposure and self-quarantine to help with minimising potential disruption to ours and our client’s business.

For our clients and visitors to our offices

  • If you have travelled internationally in the last 14 days, we ask you to conduct virtual meetings to reduce the risk of exposure.
  • All meetings at 3rd party offices (Customers and Partners)  are suspended.  Please use digital conferencing as your preferred method of communication.
  • All 3rd party visits to the Tambla office are suspended.  Again, please use digital conferencing as your preferred method of communication.

We understand that this is a worrying time for many in our communities and we want to assure you that the Leadership Team and Board at Tambla will continue to assess and respond to the situation as it evolves. In recent days there has been an escalation of the COVID-19 situation globally and closer to home in NSW and as a result, we felt it appropriate to provide this advice to minimise the potential impact to our organisation and our respective families and those of our clients and partners.

Like you, we understand that this is a rapidly changing situation.  These policies are subject to change and we will continue to update you on our advice.  If you have any questions or concerns in relation to the above information, please do not hesitate to contact us at Tambla to provide more information.

This information and any further updates can be found online here: Online Updates.

Update: 23 March 2020

These are extraordinary times for  global business and today the NSW Government indicated that, as a non-essential business, we will be required to shut down the office in the coming days.   Tambla has prepared for this eventuality and all staff will be working from home with immediate effect and until the situation allows us to return.

We would reiterate that with the exception of virtualising our meetings and visits  – our business continues to operate as usual.  Unlike many businesses around Australia and the World, closing our Sydney office does not mean closing our business. We are very fortunate that, as a technology company, we are geared to accomodate these restrictions much better than some.

We remain comitted to our Customers and will continue to provide high levels of service.

Best

The Tambla Team
