Tambla supporting the Allen Family Fundraiser

Michaela, one of the Lead Consultants in the professional services team here at Tambla, has been busy raising funds for close family friends who are going through some tough times and Tambla is supporting the initiative – through sponsorship of a table at the upcoming Allen Family Fundraiser on the 7th March.

Michaela has taken the lead in organising the event for the Allens – Michael (Mick), Jen and their three sons, Angus, Kyle and Liam.

Mick is Detective Sergeant and Investigations Manager at Castle Hill Police and a member of the service for over 25 years. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma nearly 5 years ago and continues to undergo gruelling treatment.

Jen and Mick’s youngest son Liam, aged 14 years is recovering from his own cancer treatment. His Lymphoma diagnosis last year required surgery to remove his spleen, adrenal gland and part of his stomach. While Liam is recovering well, the emotional, financial and physical burden on this family is tremendous.

Michaela tells us that the Allen’s are a proud family. They have resisted help over the years but with Jen recently leaving her job to take care of the men in her family, they have finally (and somewhat reluctantly) agreed to allow a group of trusted colleagues and friends to arrange a fundraiser on Saturday the 7th of March, 2020 at the Castle Hill RSL Club.

As part of the effort, Michaela has been actively seeking financial sponsorship or donated goods that can be used as auction items or raffle prizes at the event. NSW Police Legacy have granted them authority to collect funds (Event ID 003) which means that any sponsorship / cash donation is tax deductible.

All money collected will go directly to the Allen Family to help them meet daily living and medical expenses.

Details:

  • Date: Saturday 7th March, 2020
  • Time: 6PM until late
  • Location: Lyceum Room, Castle Hill RSL Club
  • Tickets: $150 per person, $1500 for tables of 10

If you can help in any way, no matter how small, it will make a marvellous difference to the family.
