SAP Payroll Developer

The Tambla SAP Payroll Developer role is to contribute to, and support Tambla Business Services initiatives by performing a support and administering role for existing, new and potential SAP customers.

The core objectives and responsibilities of the SAP Payroll Developer include:

Experience

  • Handling tickets and providing SAP payroll, HCM and SuccessFactors support to SAP administrators, payroll and HCM personnel.
  • Taking ownership of customer incidents to investigate, analyse & solve, co-ordinate and monitor issues with developers, functional consultants & SAP within SLA
  • Quoting and performing service requests and configuration for minor changes as well as completing testing of those changes
  • Liaising with customers, building strong rapport and business relationships with your customers
  • Suggesting solutions to customers based on best SAP practices so that customers continue to get value from their SAP systems.
  • Performing SAP ECC Configuration in the following modules: Payroll, Time Management, Organisation Management, Personnel Administration and Self-Service modules
  • Performing SuccessFactors Administration & Configuration in the following modules: Employee Central, Learning Management, Onboarding, Recruitment & Succession, Performance & Goals

Continuous Improvement

  • Engage in training and professional development to advance product and service knowledge
  • Attend SAP forums and workshops to advanced product & service knowledge and develop networking and partnership opportunities.

Knowledge Required

  • Good SAP Payroll & HCM Functional knowledge and application across integrated business processes.
  • Good SuccessFactors functional knowledge and application across business processes.

Skills

  • Consulting and stakeholder management and ability to be client facing.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving.
  • Professional level of written and verbal English communication.
  • Configuration of solutions across Payroll, Time Management, Organisation Management and Personal Administration.
  • Integration between SuccessFactors EC and SAP ECC
  • SAP Workflow
  • SAP Web Dynpro ABAP (we still have 4 customers using SAP Web Dynpro ABAP)
  • Capable of performing application testing of configuration changes.
  • Good collaborative skills working in a team of other highly experienced members
  • Ability to cope well under pressure of a payroll and high-pressure support environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new solutions.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a SAP Payroll developer
  • One on one customer support either in a project or support environment
  • Health / Public Sector industry experience
  • In-depth payroll processing and SAP administration knowledge in the following:
    • Payroll
    • Time Management
    • Organisation Management
    • Personnel Administration
    • ESS / MSS
    • Fiori
    • SuccessFactors

The successful candidate will be subject to police clearance and will be required to provide copies of relevant qualifications and/or certifications.
